My email broke - Suddenlink settings - I can't send
Following some corporate wrangling, I've been required to switch from Charter to Suddenlink for my ISP. They have a "True Switch" app that conveniently makes the changes for you. It's an .exe file.... I sent an email to their support and the form letter response directed to use...True Switch. Although I don't find circular logic at all frustrating, I called their support and was on hold each time for over 20 minutes. This leads me to believe that either Suddenlink can only afford one phone, which they share, or that no actual humans work there.
Anyway, I had to manually configure Mail. I can now check email, but can't send. Is there another Suddenlink/occupied-Charter consumer out there that knows what port to use and specifically what authentication is required? I've tried ports 56, 110,143, and 587. When sending, Mail always stops at "connecting to server". I also tried an array of authentication guesses. How many combinations of numbers and letters could there be? Sadly, we may never know.
Someone please help and/or set fire to Suddenlink HQ.
Many Thanks
