Sequence settings and Clips settings
Hello,
I hope someone will be able to help me:
I have imported a lot of footage shot with the Panasonic HVX200 into my FCP (version 5.1). When I imported the footage I didn't check the settings.
After importing and logging everything I started bringing clips from the Browser into the Viewer and everything was okay. Then, when I bring the clip from the viewer into the timeline two problems arise:
1) I cannot watch the sequence without render it (I'm not adding any
filters or anything else, for now I'm just trimming it, selecting in
and out points, that's it) ...?
2) once I have rendered the clip and watch it again it looks different
from the original, there are lines, it looks like video, things sort
of "shake" a bit.
So I checked the settings: they're different for the clip and the sequence (basically the fps are 23.98 in the original clip and 29.97 in the sequence I bring into the timeline. Plus other things are different)
What to do? Please tell me I won't have to re-import all of the footage (this is a feature!) and that I can make the settings (which I think create the problem)match. If I have to re-import the footage, can I maybe re-import the clips and keep the comments made in the Brower and make them match somehow?
