midi ouput, Miroslav Philharmonik

I installed the Miroslav Philharmonik today, and can't figure out how to send 16 instruments (midi channels) in Logic.

From the miroslav manual:

"Starting Miroslav Philharmonic in Logic:
Launch Logic. Create an audio instrument track or select one if your default song already has some. Go to the mixer and insert Philharmonic on that track from the audio units sub menu, Miroslav Philharmonik will be launched. Double click on the loaded slot (blue) to open the Miroslav Philharmonik interface. Return to the arrange window, select the audio instrument track and now you can play from your midi keyboard".

So far so good, but I don't understand the next section in the manual:

"16 part multitimbral usage in Logic:
Due to the way Logic's instrument tracks are made, the midi channel selection you apply in the arrange window is forced to be the same for all the tracks that use the same audio instrument. It is possible to use Miroslav Philharmonik with more than one channel (up to 16) by selecting "All" in the midi channel field of the audio instrument and selecting the midi channel on the various track events".

I've selected "all" in the midi channel field, but don't come any further. Anyone here who can give me a more detailed explanation?

1.Instanciate Philharmonik on Audio Instrument Track. (For clarity, name the audio object Philharmonik.)
2. Set the MIDI channel on Philharmonik track to "All".
3. In environment, MIDI Inst. layer, goto New menu and create new multi-instrument. (For clarity, name the audio object Miroslav.)
4. Click once on each of the 16 boxes in the Miroslav multi instrument to enable all 16 MIDI channels. (If you want, you can also check 'volume' and 'pan' for each sub channel as well.)
5. Here's the tricky part. Hold the option key and click on the triangle on the upper right corner of the Miroslav multi instrument and navigate to Audio> Audio Instrument> Philharmonik. (That connects the MIDI object to the actual audio instrument.)
6. Click 'remove' on the dialog box that pops up about port setting.
7. Go back to your arrange windows and and a MIDI instrument. (Select Miroslav and a channel 1-16.)
8. Now you can load instruments into the 16 channels of the "Philharmonik" audio instrument and send MIDI to them via mulltiple "Miroslav" tracks.

Hope that helps,
DD

I've also just installed Miroslav. I followed your instructions, but still nothing.
I can use the programme individually on separate tracks, but then I run out of memory quickly.

I just don't understand why they make everything so difficult.

I've spent more time not making music with Logic, then I have making it.

Logic is starting to drive me nuts!
