have you considered running XP on the MBP using bootcamp? then you could run acid pro just like on your PC. it may even work under parallels, although you'd want to check this first.
as for comparing acid pro to logic.. if you're used to being able to work easily with loops and time stretching audio on the fly, you mightn't be too happy in logic. logic is more of a high-end music composer/producer's workstation... multi-track recording, mixing, editing, composing with software instruments, writing music to film. while you can do a lot of the same things with acid pro, it's more of a loop-based music maker.
if you're looking for something more along the lines of acid pro for OSX, I'd be inclined to take a look at ableton live.
