Help please...Can't zoom out!!!

Hi..I just turned on my laptop and everything looks zoomed in...I can't zoom out...I have tried "command - " to no avail. I have not changed any settings....Please help..Is this a bug?

Check the Display settings in the System Preferences and make sure the resolution is set for the display's native (and maximum) resolution, which is 1440 by 900 for a 15" MacBook pro.

Thank you very much it solved my problem...But how did it happen? My computer was ok before I put it to sleep and then I opened the lid and there was the blue screen for a few seconds and then everything was zoomed in, why? Thanks again.
