PC (Windows) slows down by 90% while bonjour is installed

For about two weeks, after i installed Apple Quicktime (don't need iTunes, do not want iTunes) My computer slowed down, by about 90% (it took 30+ min to open Mozilla Firefox, i timed it) and CPU usage would NOT go above 15%

AS SOON AS I UNINSTALED BONJOUR THE COMPUTER WENT BACK UP TO A NORMAL LEVEL OF SPEED

I changed nothing else but bonjour and worked in correcting the problem
Any thoughts as to why this occurred?

Something you installed wanted to provide you with zero configuration networking software called Bonjour. Apparently there's a bug that's causing your computer to run slowly when Bonjour is installed. The thing that amazes me is how the Internet can be used to distort reality and claim that Bonjour is spyware. It's funny reading the postings in your links. Those people remind me of caveman seeing lightning for the first time and concluding that the gods must be angry with them. They're afraid of what they don't understand, which is somewhat understandable given how scary it is being a Windows user with all the potential security threats. So in summary, Bonjour is not spyware. Sometimes software just has bugs.
