MBs also use Adobe, Microsoft, Intuit, and dozens of other manufacturers' products. Those manufacturers support their products, not Apple. This isn't that hard a concept to understand. Furthermore, not even Apple will provide you with support for a Newer Technology battery being used in a Mac product. Being a Mac lover (or any other lover) doesn't change reality. Asking for support for a third-party product is indeed "out of place" here. Try reading the Discussion's Terms of Use. Apple explains it pretty clearly:
"Apple's discussion forums are here to help people
use Apple products and technologies more effectively. Unless otherwise noted, don't add Submissions about nontechnical topics, including:
That Apple rumor you saw on another website.
Discussions of Apple policies or procedures.
Speculations/rumors about unannounced products.
The status of your 1973 MG Midget restoration."
We use these Discussions at Apple's discretion and permission. Apple asks that we follow their policies and rules regarding the use of the Discussions. The least you and others can do is honor that request. If that isn't something you're willing to do, then join some other forum.
