Screen Black...can't reboot

I received an older Powerbook G4 at work yesterday.

It had been working fine until last night. I was working in Photoshop elements (using the Nudge tool to be exact) when the screen went black and the Mac seemed to shut down. The only signs of life is the little LED light at the back of the laptop (between the screen and the computer) that shows when the laptop is on but closed. It is lsowyly pulsating, The Powerbook was running on battery at the time is happened but I could swear I still had 50% capacity (it was a new battery).

Now I can't get it to do anything. I have tried Control-Command-Power. Pressing and holding the power button. Removing the battery. Plugging it in. Nothing.

I will send it back Monday morning but was hoping to stumble across a way to get the Powerbook back up before then to see if I could at least salvage a days worth of work.

Thanks for any ideas.

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.3)
