Bluetooth to my HP LaserJet 1010 for printing ?

I understand it is possible to connect my MacBook using bluetooth to the print in the next room in my house so as to avoid a long cable. Currently my girlfriend uses the printer through USB port from her PC.

Can I use bluetooth to print from my MacBook while she can continue to printer direct from her PC through the traditional USB port ?

We have an HP LaserJet 1010.

appreciate any input,
scott

Yes I have emailed HP, but no answer yet, it has been 3 days.

i did find this website from apple talking about the benefits of Bluetooth (i agree), but it's short on the specifics of how ot make it happen related to PRINTING....

http://www.apple.com/bluetooth/

it provides this footnote which is a bit too much jargon for me. anybody help me here ?

Printing over Bluetooth requires a printer that supports the HCRP Bluetooth profile and a printer driver that supports printing over Bluetooth. Bluetooth 2.0+EDR is compatible with devices built to the Bluetooth 1.x specification.
