what is error-600?

I can't get itunes to work for me. When I try to open it it just shows error -600.
Any help would be appreciated.

imac, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

That error message means that iTunes wasn't completely quit the last time it was used. Save your open documents in other applications, and then log out and back in; if the Log Out option in the Apple menu doesn't work, open the Activity Monitor in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and force quit the loginwindow process. You will then either be logged back in or returned to the login screen depending on the state of the automatic login option.
