copying songs from iShuffle to iTunes Library

I have done a stupid thing!
I have deleted my Music Library and my Playlists from iTunes. I need to copy the songs on my iShuffle back to iTunes. Although my iShuffle appears as a device in my source list in iTunes (when I connect my iShuffle) to my computer) the list of my iShuffle songs do not appear in the Library window or anywhere else for that matter. However, I can listen to my songs normally on my iShuffle so they must still be there.

Actually, i am trying to do the opposite thing transfer music from library to my ipod shuffle but i get this message ( ipod cannot be updated.the risk can not be read or written to)..any idea what should i do.I have ipod 5th version, that is the only version that works on my windows XP the 7th does not work....need help......

Hi David,

You can download a third-party program that can copy your iPod's songs to your computer.

Try using Senuti, as it is compatible with Mac OS X.
