airportthru

Hey Guys,

Have a strange one for you to ponder over. No matter where I go, when I either Netstumble or Just search for WiFi networks Im finding 'airportthru', always full signal strength, acting as a Peer to Peer network.

Im assuming its running on my laptop (Which IS a mac, I use a MacBook Pro) but cant find reference to it anywhere?!

Cheers
Paul

Look at your AirPort icon in the menubar. Is it grayed and have a small black square superimposed on it? Does the wireless network list include items under the title "Computer-to-Computer Networks?" If both are true, then you have an active "Computer-to-Computer" network enabled.

To disable it, just select "Disconnect from current network" option on the drop-down AirPort menu.
