IPOD HI FI REMOTE CONTROL

Hello,
I'm new to IPOD products, I just purchased a new IPOD with Video 30g and an IPOD HI FI. My question is about the remote for the HI FI. The remote controls all the functions eg. play, pause, skip forward, skip backward, volume up and down, but the menue button does nothing. I have to access the menues through the IPOD itself. Any suggestions?

It is normal, and you cant access the menu through the remote as it do with an iMac

Will all this creativity in this world, has no company come up yet with a remote (no cables) from which you can actually manage the playlists, menus etc....is there nothing on the market??? Thanks if someone can help me.....Paul

I am wondering about this as well - I have a 20G ipod that works fine, but the click wheel is dead. I have the clip on remote with the ear buds that lets me play the music (putting all my songs into one giant alphabetical playlist), but I can't access the menus. Is there a remote out on the market that does this? Or is there a way to do this with my ipod plugged into my computer?
