iMac ISP Installation

I just received my new iMac computer this evening. Once I got everything set up and I turned it on, I tried to download my Internet Service Provider, which is EarthLink. I'm having to use an external modem. I had some difficulty installing it, and wound up clicking on the install button more than once. Is there a chance that it would install EarthLink more than once? If there is a possibility, how would I go about checking it? I'm new to the iMac, and let me tell you, it's a lot different from the PC that I'm accustomed to, but I think once I get the hang of it, I'll love it.

If your iMac is "new" I suspect you actually have an Intel iMac instead of a G5 iMac. If so, you may need to repost in the Intel-based iMac Forums where users using the same model as yourself hang out.

Have you tried contacting Earthlink Mac Tech Support for help?
Are they DSL or Cable broadband?

Did you go through the "install" process twice? That is how you can tell if you installed Earthlink twice.

Make sure you repair permissions.
