slow page loading

I upgraded my ram on my macbook and ever since the web pages started to slow down when loading. I know my router and internet cable is working fine. What should i do?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.8),  Macbook Core Duo 1.83ghz 1.5GB 80GB HD  iPod 5G 30GB  80GB USB HD 
