Mac Keyboard Layout in Vector or Typeface ?? format

Hi,
I'm just designing something to be printed for a keyboard shortcut information leaflet.

The information I am using involves me using the Mac keyboard layout
and it's keys like Shift, Alt, Return, and the Apple logo etc.

I am able to use the Apple logo by pressing down Alt Shift K.
But for things like the Shift key or Return, Tab and even the directional arrows I am lost...

I've tried the keyboard viewer and Glyphs with inDesign - but surely there must be either a typeface with these characters in or some vector illustrations....(which would be better) - other manuals seemed to have used them.

Hope this makes sense...

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a free project for keyboard shortcuts for an application I am working on.

Thanks in advance.

I have just been
trying your method and have an understanding of what
your showing me - but I just get four seperate
characters instead of the one...it must be something
silly Im doing wrong..??

It is probably easiest to use the Character Palette and find the Unicode numbers there and then double click or use the insert button to enter.

If you are talking about the keyboard method, you must first activate and select the Unicode Hex layout. (system prefs/international/input menu, check its box plus the box for "show input menu in finder", the select Unicode Hex in the "flag" menu at the top right of the finder).

All this requires Unicode-savvy apps, so won't work in Appleworks, the old WordX, or old versions of Adobe stuff.

Let me know if still problems.
