Upgrading memory to 2GB SO-DIMM in iBook G4 1.42GHz?

I've noted that a couple of manufacturers now offer 2GB PC2700 DDR333 SO-DIMMs. Would this work in my iBook and would I see all of the memory?

I know that the documentation says 1GB max, but that limit moved up as larger modules became available, so I'm wondering if it works. Anyone have any experience with these?

There are about four different iBook G4 steps, so to speak, that
encompass the 14" model; you have a 1.42GB processor so
that limits the field considerably; depending on when it was built
and a few other facts in the configuration, your computer at best
could use up to 1.5GB RAM; the last model iBookG4 in either
1.33 or 1.42 GHz processor has 512MB on the board and you
can upgrade the only open RAM slot under the keyboard with a
1024MB chip. This is the maximum supported in these last iBooks.

Earlier versions with 256MB on the board, can be upgraded to 1.25GB.
And before that, with 128 on the board, only to 1.12GB total; supported.

The late 2004 model uses a PC 2100 RAM, the last mid-2005 model
uses PC 2700 RAM. More may fit but not work. Hope this helps.
