DTXpress IV Special and Garageband 3

I'm thinking of purchasing the DTXpress IV Special edition by Yamaha (electronic drum set). Are you able to connect this to GarageBand 3, so you can record your own tunes. If so, what exactly do I need (peripherals) to be able to do this? I'm new to this.

I currently have a MacMini Intel (Core Duo), 1.66 GHz, 2 GB of memory.

Thanks

I use garageband and a Yamaha DTXtreme IIS, I use both MIDI and audio. On the DTXtreme there are 8 audio outs 6 mono and 2 stereo.

Frankly the stereo out sound is excellent. At times I record the audio out as well as the MIDI.

I have a lot ways to record ( Tracktion, Logic, Live etc ) but I like Garageband the best. Tracktion crashes enough to make me nervous.
