How to mount a sharepoint server from the finder

Can anyone help me with how to mount a microsoft sharepoint services server from the finder. I need to do this because I want to use the collaboration features in Acrobat 8. In order to create a shared review I need to be able to open the document from the sharepoint site with the full version of acrobat and I cannot do that from the web browser. From a PC I would choose to add a network location and the wizard creates a network location in the explorer, then I can access the sharepoint site (across the internet) like another file folder on my local network. I cannot seem to figure out how to accomplish the same thing on the mac. When I put in the URL for the share point site in the connect dialog from the finder it opens a webdave dialog box asking for a domain name and I have no idea what that is and it tells me the password or user name is not correct. Any help would be appreciated

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Sharpoint is jsut MS name for webDAV. As such i would assume you should be able to do it in the same way you normally mount a webDAV volume... That is by using Go>Connect to Server from the finder menu or the cmd+K hot key. the url you enter is in the same form as afp or smb but instead with "http" as the protocol like so:

http://server-address/share-name

if youre using secure connections then change the protocol to "https" (i assume anyhow).

As a side note there is another thread now that the finder interface wont let you offer credentials unless they are required (ie. the first connection attempt fails). so if you have guest login enabled you may not get the access level you need. But i suspect manually mounting it from the command line might let you use your username and password. IF this is the case you mght also be able to script so it uses you Kerberos credentials from active directory if youre using AD.

Mounting a SharePoint folder is just a WebDAV operation and you use either local server credentials or Active Directory credentials when it asks. As of 10.4.8 though, there is one problem. Even if you can authenticate, all I can see is a blank Finder window. If you point Windows XP or 2003 at the same URL, you see the folder list you would expect form the site. I have to test this in 10.4.9.
