10.4.9 Quake 3 Arena Crashes

I just upgraded and Q3A crashes everytime I try and open it now.

Anyway to go back to 10.4.8??? I need my Quake fix.

G5 Dual 2 GHz PowerPC, MacBook Dual 2 GHz Intel, Mac OS X (10.4.9)
