imovie and purchase itunes

Question

imovie and purchase itunes

I am using imovie 3.03, and i have tried to use purchased music via itunes store and it will import the song, but no sound occurs when i try to play it. I have no problem importing music from CD put into itunes, then brought into imovie.

is this some copyright infringement or am i doing something wrong

Both, sort of. ;-)

In iTunes, burn the songs to an audio CD (not mp3 CD). You have to make a playlist first.
Then you import that audio CD into iMovie.

You can use WireTap Pro to record the song and then import the AIFF file it creates.
