how do i uninstall .pkgs?

Hi everybody.

I got a question. I'm very new to mac (obviously) and I discovered I don't know how to properly uninstall a .pkg file.

What I did is I installed something called Ghostscript which came as a .pkg file. I double clicked it, installed it. But now I want to get rid of it, thoroughly and clean. How do I do that? I'm guessing it's not like any application, because it's not in my Application folder.

So do I spotlight everything that sounds like "ghostscript" and delete it, or what?

Thanks a lot. Have a good day.

Apple doesn't currently provide an uninstaller, though a number of third-party tools do exist, and you could try one of them.

Or, you can remove 95-100% of everything manually, in most cases. Your hunch was spot on. Using command-F from the Finder, or from Spotlight, look for "ghostscript". You can drag the various files and folders to the trash.

MOST applications have most of their disk space in one place, but some have pieces in various places. Almost always you can find them by looking for the application name.
