AProTools User Has Questions?

So I have a pretty elaborate ProTools System.
Hd2 w/ separate G5 to output uncompressed HD/SDI video to a 50" plasma.
I just got booked on a job and they want to mix using STP.

Can I use My Digi Hardware, or do I need a firewire audio box?
Can I use my PLug-Ins (TDM / RTAS)?
Can STP export Midi TimCode?
Can I work with Full Frame Picture on my Plasma or do I need to work on the
Computer monitor?
Can I use a Command 8 Midi Control Surface?

Dual 2.3Ghz G5, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

You can use your Digi hardware with the Digi CoreAudio drivers

No, you'll need AudioUnits versions of those.

Yes

You can export video to FW. However, I think that when you use a Canopus or anything like that, the audio is output to the video device...

Can I use a Command 8 Midi Control Surface?

I don't think so. STP is only compatible with Mackie Control protocol

Honestly, try to convince the guys who hired you to forget about using STP...

I have tried to talk them out of it.
Will STP export MTC from my Digi-Midi i/o?

If so then I'll have playback of picture on my plasma.

I can't see any reason why STP wouldn't work to output MTC via your Digi Midi I/O.
