Safari Runtime Error

Everytime I go onto MySpace, the log in page comes up and I type in my password. When I click Log-In, Safari shows a runtime error message reading the following:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

yeah that is strange that you got it to work in firefox....i can't....i tried out a couple of things...but i got to restart my comp and see what happens, if i have any luck i'll post...i still think that its not myspace...only because i've asked friends and they have it working, and it's fine on my pc....but i wouldn't doubt that it is myspace...it's just strange to me that it's been almost 2 days of this error...i just remembered that myspace has been working on folders for photos, maybe that has something to do with it....i dunno....we all shouldn't care though....myspace is ridiculous, we can't let it control our lives....

-off subject .... not happy i upgraded OSX 10.4.9 .... i have a usb audio device that won't work (M-audio Torq - vinyl/ mp3 manipulator) and i just heard that Logic isn't working with 10.4.9 .... not good apple.... did everyone upgrade to 10.4.9?

ok...since there were a couple of you that got into your myspace thru firefox i decided to delete it and download again...that still didn't work for me. So i decided to download Camino ... that worked ... i'm not that impressed with the apperance of it but it's a browser and it works.... so if anyone is interested, here is the link .... http://www.download.com/Camino/3000-2143_4-10648884.html?tag=lst-0-4

i did post this in another thread, so hope it isn't wrong to post this answer more than once, but deleting the cache alone did not work for me, though i did delete the cache first and didn't mention that in my other post but this worked as soon as i did it

i found this to work:
go into safari--->preferences---->security------>show cookies

then delete all your cookies that have anything to do with myspace

quit safari and reopen

i have been struggling with this for days as it was only safari i had the problem on, my other browsers worked fine, and this is what ended up working.

hope this fix helps someone else it was so bloody frustrating to me for days!!

YOU ARE AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!
I've been nuts myself & found NO REASON for
this continuous error to stop me from getting
in the home pages on My Space. Although, I
personally could use the other browers,
ie; Firefox & Internet Explorer, who wants to
when Safari works the best !!
I did as YOU advised, upon reading countless
complaints on this issue and YES, IT WORKED
for me also.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!
So grateful for the tenacity and intelligience you
posess to finally figure a solution !!
Sincerely,
hope48
