Have you investigated Logic's plugs for this?

You can do some really interesting stuff with Logic's vocoder, voice transformer, ring mod and various pitch and distortion plugs - and don't forget the potential of editing as well...

well it depends on what you want to do. you can use anything really. there's no need to think only in terms of things for voice, if you want to be creative and warp the sound, knock yourself out and try anything.

that said, I know antares used to make a synth that could use a monophonic audio input as it's source. it would track the pitch and you could transform the sound using the synth. I don't remember liking it all that much because the tracking would jump in non-musical timings which really make it not useful for rhythmic music. but you could try it out if it's still around.

It helps to have an extraordinary voice,though...

Hi, i'm looking for some great plugins free and for
purchase that can take an ordinary voice and really
add some crazy effects to it where the point where
there is no telling who the actually vocalist was.

Can this be done?

The best one is by TC but it is only available on the Powercore card or in their Helicon/Voice Prism hardware.

It is impressive however. It can make an older guy like me sound like Justin Timberlake. (ducking, incoming)

Im with Beejay on this.

Logic's own Vocal transformer, Pitch shiftter2, Ringshifter, and some other plugs, you should be able to get crazy vocal processing.

Also , there are some impulse responses from spirit canyon audio
that can be used in Space Designer. I own some of these collections, some are insane! Nothing else could achieve these effects.

I did have trouble downloading the preset files from their website,were you able to do so?

And I agree,Logic's own plugins are great,you almost don't need anything else...
