error code 2350

Every time I try installing iTunes so i can have the newest version, i keep on getting the following message:

The cabinet file "iTunes.cab" required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, and error from reading the CD-ROM, or a problem with the package.

When I click the ignore button, I then get this message:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2350.

If you are experiencing this same problem or know how to repair it, please let me know.

hmmmmmm.

okay. there may still be itunes (or quicktime) installation configuration information on the PC that is interfering with the install. so let's try clearing that away (and any remaining scraps of program files).

first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.

next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.

next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of leftover itunes and quicktime program files:

Removing iTunes and QuickTime for Windows

now try another itunes install. does it go through properly this time?

Hi,

after a million reinstallations, because of trying to update to the newest version, I'm finally getting the same message.
Although didn't get it before installing the Win Scripting Pack, as recommended by Apple. Anyway, after the first installtion try, it got stuck near the end, when it came to connect to the Automatic Server .... something. Sorry, but I'm so messed up by all this, so I forgot the exact note.

I followed as well precisely the procedure recommended by *b noir*!

As I'm going on a trip to europe, I would love to reload my iNano, but here I'am stuck.

Help would be deeply appreciated.
