I can't search iTunes store. I can connect to the store, and browse and DL

I can't search the iTunes store. I can connect to the store, browse, purchase and download songs. I am running Vista Home Premium, iTunes version 7.1.1.5. I am running the standard Vista firewall with no other firewalls or security packages. The exact text of the error reads: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." There are no numbers or codes. It gave this message when iTunes was busy downloading a song in the background!! I have had no other internet connection issues. Please help me proceed.

thanks!
