How to reset iTunes to default settings?

Ok after awhile I have messed around with itunes too much and I am wondering is there anyway to reset itunes to its default settings? you know when you first installed it..

I tried un-installing and re-installing but all my settings were the same..I cant find anywhere any option to reset default settings at all..

I even deleted the apple reg's after uninstall and still... same settings. I cant remember either what was selected on and off for default...

Help? Anyone?

If you want to completely clear iTunes, including deleting all your tracks, and start over totally from scratch, trash the iTunes folder (in My Documents -> My Music) and the iTunes preference files:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref

and

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Data\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref

You might have to turn on "show hidden files" to find them. (Right click "my computer", select open, select Tools menu -> Folder Options. Select View tab, "show hidden files" radio button is in the center scrolling panel.)

If you don't want to have to re-rip your tracks but what everything else cleared, delete the preference files above and the two files in the iTunes folder. Then you can use the Add To Library command and select your iTunes Music folder to re-add your tracks.
