Q: Oregon Trail Installation

Hey All,

I recently bought my little sister an Intel-based Mac mini. She went out and bought Oregon Trail from a student catalog. In the minimum requirements MAC OS 7.5 or higher is listed. I've never run a classic app, and don't know where to start, I tried installing but the icons have an ex thru them and I get an error saying the system doesn't support the software.

Any suggestions on how I can get her up and running?

Mac Mini (Intel), Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Hi James Bedell;

    Your sister's Intel Mac Mini qill not support "Classic". Apple does not allow that on any Intel based Mac.

    There is a third party solution that allow Intel based Macs to run some OS 9 applications qhuxh is called SheepShaver. You can check into whether or not Oregon Trail will run under SheepShaver. That would be the only solution I know of for her.
