Composite images

Hi, I'm pretty new to Macs and am loving using IPhoto but I was wondering if there was any way to create composite images i.e. taking bits of two photos and making them into one image (I think that's called a composite image?!).

If not, which program would you recommend which has such a feature? I was looking at Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 but don't know much about what's available.

Many thanks!

MacBook 2.0GHz, Mac OS X (10.4)

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

No, iPhoto won't do something like this, you'll need an external editor (which you can configure to use with iPhoto.

Graphic Coverter
Photoshop Elements
Seashore

Are among the many options. Seashore is Open Source - i.e free, Graphic Converter has a try before you buy option and PSE is, well, a very powerful application.
