Windows "Run" Command on a Mac

Is there a Mac equivalent to the Windows "Run" option (in the Start Menu)? I need to access a server that looks like \\etc.etc.blah.blah\mm-hmm/ and I'm not sure how.

Finder, Go Menu, Connect to Server...
Put smb:// in front of the path.

Oh, and while not equivalent, the Terminal application allows you access to the unix command line.
