I'm having this problem as well. I've had the unit, which is a 80GB Video, for less than 2 weeks. Last night I was trying to upload some videos to it from itunes, and it wouldn't connect, saying it couldn't access the hard drive on the unit. I went through the five R's, and after the restore, i connected the ipod to my system, but now itunes couldn't see it, even though windows could. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes, then reconnected the ipod, and it seemed to be ok. It recognized the ipod, and began downloading all my songs and videos. Everything seemed fine, but today, I went to play a video, one that I know was playing properly before this happened, and now it won't play. It shows a black screen with the play symbol in the upper left corner, and the battery level in the upper right corner, and then it just fades to black. If I let it set for a few more seconds, it reboots. This happens with every video file now. The TV Out setting is set to OFF, so that is not the issue. Music still plays fine, and I can't confirm how pictures are displaying, as I don't have any loaded. Is something corrupt on my ipod? It seems hard to believe that all of my videos are corrupt. Any ideas? Alternately, can I talk this thing into an Apple store nad have it looked at and possibly replaced, seeing as it's still under warrantee and all?
