My faulty computer

i have been having problems with my macbook for a while, my hard drive crashed, applecare had to replace the logic board (only after the second time sending it in because they didnt fix it right the first time). Then earphone jack stopped working, so i had the corresponding board replaced. This time the battery icon has an x and it won't charge. I believe that their was a problem after my earphone jack was replaced, because a crack started to form under the macbook by the USB ports and the seam of the palm rest was lifting on the side. i think this was the repair mans fault, because my computer was not like this before. But when i took my computer to the apple store to be looked at, they said that their was an iternal power problem, and it wouldnt be placed under warranty because of the crack. They were going to charge like $400. I am so fed up with having a macbook, and although i love my macs, i might have to switch over to pc.

anyone else have similar experiences?

did u report the crack after you got it back??

try calling apple and speak to a supervisor or go to the shop and ask for the manager. (calmly)

i wouldnt have taken the mac back if i noticed a crack or as soon as i noticed it i would have called them straight away

but if you are still having hardware problems then try and get it replaced as cosmetic issues aside its still a faulty item.

Was the repair done by Apple or an Authorised Service Provider? In any event Apple should have a record of it. Call them and explain this crack appeared after a previous repair, and now has caused more hardware repairs to become neccessary.

Also, replacement parts like batteries aside, would this be a 4th hardware repair? If so, you may be justified in asking for a replacement unit.
