Software Restore CD
I keep reading different things. One, that "ANY" OS X restore CD, even if not from the PowerBook will work. (It doesn't. I popped in the restore CD from my "new" Mac mini G4 that I just got on eBay and it doesn't work).
Of course, if you get a CD/DVD labeled as PowerBook G4, will it work?
Apple says that any version of OS X will work on your system so as long as you don't get one that is prior to the one released and installed on your computer. In my case, my model release came with 10.3.7 installed.
Are the CD/DVDs specialized like they used to be awhile back? Meaning, is there a special CD/DVD for just the 12-inch PowerBook, or can I use any CD/DVD as long as it says "PowerBook G4" on it, and it is 10.3.7 or later?
