Samsung SyncMaster 215TW display goes black for 2-3 seconds on DVI

My SyncMaster 215TW goes black (blinks off?) for 2-3 seconds while connected to my PowerBook by DVI. After trying to get help from Samsung's support site (lot's of the widgets seem to be broken), I found a page ( http://erms.samsungusa.com/customer/sea/jsp/faqs/faqsview.jsp?PG_ID=1&AT_ID=15272&PROD_SUB_ID=28&PRODID=-1 ) that suggests such behavior is a result of a cable or video card. This behavior happens at most, only once per session. I'm not sure if this is a problem, and if so, if it's the display or the PowerBook's Nvidia chipset. Has anybody had any problems like this?

Thanks.

PowerBook G4 12" Mac OS X (10.4.9) 1.5 GHz
