Just to make sure, I went to /Library/Widgets and found the ESPN widget file. Dashboard doesn't recognize it, though. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance for any replies.20 in iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.9), 2 MB RAM
I am having the same problem after reinstalling the operating system yesterday, the widgets are there(in the library folder), but dashboard doesn't load them. Any help would be appreciative.

I finally figured it out. After installing OS X Tiger, the software updates appear. The problem lies with the 10.4.9 update. It installs all of the widget files, but the ESPN widget is not in Dashboard. I couldn't even open it by double clicking on it.
ESPN widget, along with others, were added in the 10.4.4 update. I decided to load all of the OS X Tiger updates manually one at a time. So, I went down the line from 10.4.2 to 10.4.9. After I installed 10.4.4, I saw the ESPN widget in Dashboard.
Try installing them one at a time, it might work for you like it did for me.20 inch iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.9), 2 Gb RAM
Currently Being ModeratedJun 25, 2007 2:23 PM (in response to Christopher M. Morris)Hi Chris, here is the question:
1. Go to MacOSX 10.4.4 Delta Update page and download it. (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxupdate1044.html)
2. Download and install Pacifist (http://www.charlessoft.com/). Then run it and wait 15 seconds or buy it.
3. Mount the .dmg update, drag and drop the .pkg file into Pacifist window (Do not run the update!)
4.Pacifist should find what this package (.pkg) contains. the ESPN.wgt should be in the library package, but you can search. D'n'D to the desktop and double click. The widget should install itself as the other downloaded widgets.
Hope this help. And sorry for my english

Thanks for the info. I already have it now though. I decided to do a fresh install of Tiger and I grabbed the 10.4.4 update first and then installed it and I also saved the widget to my idisk incase I need it in the future. But I do appreciate your help! Thanks again
