Quite odd undo issue...

Hey all,

Not a serious, work-stopping problem but...

The undo page...hmm...

Here's an odd one...

Went to our screenset where the undo page lives. Our undo's are set to 30. Well, there were zero undo's in the page. And you know how the undo page is a light blue, and as you select undo's, they turn a darker blue? Well, the entire undo page was that darker blue color, completely. But with no undo data displayed. I made a few moves, changed tempo, changed key (all within this screenset) and no data showed up. Then made a change to a midi region (same screenset) and viola, all of this data shows up all at once. And the moves that I had made to tempo and key showed up too. Strange...

Anyone experience this, or other oddities with the undo page?

As a note, we CAN undo things when the page is like this. It seems to be a graphical error, not a core level "undo" error.

Hope everyone is well!

I've not personally experienced this, but I seldom venture into the undo window - to be honest, the whole multiple undo thing was a bit of a half-assed implementation - it works with some things, and other things don't create undo steps at all.

It could just be some graphical oddness, but it's worth bearing in mind that it could be related to some song corruption issues, in a similar way to the time signature copy/paste issues can corrupt both the timeline display and the song, as reported very thoroughly by our iSchwartzian friend a little while back.

So if/when you notice it, just make sure you've got some good backups of what you are working on just in case. I've had very few instances of song corruption, but it happens to people here on a more alarming basis, so it pays to be cautious (well, it works for me, anyway! 😉

I have nothing more helpful than that to post, I'm afraid, maybe someone else out there..?
