my ipod wont work with usb cord

i dont know what is wrong, do i have to replace it? i have another ipod video 60gb ,both the usb cable cords work for it but they dont work with my black 30gb one. i tried restarting it so many different times and it did not help. can anyone help me with this... thanks...

    Is your iPod not being recognized by iTunes or your computer, or something? (information like that might help)

    It doesn't sound like a problem with your USB cord, but probably a problem with your iPod (since the two cords works with your other iPod).

    If your iPod is having troubles with iTunes recognizing it, have you tried these five steps?:
