It doesn't sound like a problem with your USB cord, but probably a problem with your iPod (since the two cords works with your other iPod).
If your iPod is having troubles with iTunes recognizing it, have you tried these five steps?:
The Five R's
-Kylene2 iPods: White 1GB Nano; Pink 4GB Nano (Second Generation), Windows XP, iTunes v. 126.96.36.199
Currently Being ModeratedApr 4, 2007 4:12 PM (in response to iPod_nano_1_GB)the reasons why itunes wont recognize it is because the cord wont work with it. i tried reseting it several times. im just thinking is my ipod now. i will just send it in to repair. but thanks for you info. i appreciate it!!Windows XP
