Downloading Windows Media Player

Downloading Windows Media Player

Trying to download wm player but for some reason it downloads and then wont install. my friend gave me a file of the player to download with and extension of .bin but it just says cant find application for the install. any help?

Its probably a corrupt file that your friend gave you

There is no default application specified to open the document "Windows Media.sitx." cancel choose application......

Download this app and it you should be able to now open the file

Of course, Microsoft has stopped supporting the stand-alone Windows Media Player application for the Mac. Their current solution is to install the Flip4Mac components for QuickTime. This allows you to play Windows Media files directly in QuickTime. This would probably be the best thing to install, rather than the old software.
