Manually syncing iPod... how?

Greetings,

I recently set up my iTunes to not automatically sync whenever I connect. However, now I don't know how to tell it to add a particular song/movie. I just put a movie in iTunes, but I couldn't put it on my iPod. I had to change it to automatically sync on start up to get in on there. Where's the option to "add to iPod manually" or whatever? Thanks for any info.

Right click on the iPod and select Sync or menu File
-> Sync iPod.

I try that, but it doesn't seem to work. At the top it'll say "Syncing iPod" then approximately two seconds later it'll say "Sync complete," but that doesn't add any if the new songs from iTunes onto my iPod. Am I perhaps experiencing technical problems, or what're some possible solutions? Thanks,

Check your syncing settings. Mine wouldn't sync my tv shows and it was because I had it set to only sync those which were unwatched.

I also have a question related to this: I want to automatically sync my music but manually sync my movies. If I click "sync music" it will not let me manually add movies but seems to want to force me to either manually do both or automatically do both. Any ideas?
