aim 4.7

first i thought the macbook and macbook pro can use windows apps. but i tried downloading aim 6 for windows it wouldnt read AIM. now i had no trouble with aim 4.7 on my mac os 9 but i have a macbook and aim crashes. any ideas because i really the AIM chats

Have you considered updating your OS?

Did you repair permissions after the installation of AIM?

Regarding the Mac side.......

For AIM Chats use v4.7 & keep iChat open in the background to keep it from crashing.

OR

Use Adium. Then use AIM Community Chat Rooms to connect to the rooms.
Your crashing woes will be over.

Sorry, I can't help you on the P.C. side even though I use that side also as I have a PC.

Suggest that you also cross-post over in the iChat Forums for other suggestions.

You need to use CrossOver, Parallels Desktop, or Boot Camp to run Windows applications on an Intel Mac. The second and third options require that you have a copy of Windows.

just dont touch the scrool wheel and aim will work on newer macs
