My firewall wants 2 conect to 224.0.0.251 port 5353-ITunes. Is this normal?

I've been noticing the past couple of months that my firewall asks me to allow a connection to the IP's 224.0.0.2 and 224.0.0.251. Usually on ports 5353 and 5555. When I attempt to do a treceroute on these IP,s I get a private IANA. Is it OK to allow this on my firewall prompt?

Those messages are normal; iTunes is sending messages to other computers on your local network for its streaming music functionality. These ports may also be used for other Bonjour services, which enable one machine to discover services offered by other machines on the LAN. See this article for information about IP addresses in the 224-239 range.
