What happened to 'Enable Disk Use' ???

What happened to 'Enable Disk Use' ???

Hi all, is it me or does there not appear to be a setting for this in iTunes 7.1 anymore? Now when i connect my Shuffle it only appears as a mounted drive when it's transferring songs and then it disappears again. I don't seem to be able to use it as USB drive anymore. I can't even tell what format it is XP or Mac, do i need to transfer it back to XP to get it to work.

Have i missed something?

Perhaps... "Enable disk use" is the last option under the Settings tab. You may have to scroll down to see it OR expand your iTunes window.

Since I seem to have the same problem, I would be grateful if you could tell me where to find the 'settings tab' in iTunes. Searched high and low for it, without success.

in order to find it, shuffle must be connected to pc, itunes will show u the image of ur shuffle. u'll se 2 tabs on the top center of itunes, click on setttings and scroll down, u'll see options and there u'll find the "enable disk use" option ... hope this helps !!!

Select the iPod in iTunes, then you will see it.

Thanks to both you and 0Ari0, finally sussed it out. Thank you both very much.
The cause must have been upgrading to 10.4.10 last week.

Shuffle now enabled for disk, without opening iTunes every time I need to exhange a file to someone else PC. Exactly the way I wanted it.
