VBScript error windows vista

I am trying to install Itunes 7.1.1 I am running windows Vista Home Basic. I get an error when I try to install itunes 7.1.1 that says Itunes cannot be installed because visual basic script either is not installed or is disabled. It also tells me to disable script blocking from personal firewall and virus protection programs. Has anyone got this error and if you are also running windows vista home basic were you able to fix it and how if you did please help me I appreciate any help I can get.

Thank You

Hello. I hope you have already found a solution.

If not, one is posted at the Windows Vista Community. However I have copied the information for you here.

Be sure to open the command line by right clicking and selecting "run as administator" or you will get an error message. Otherwise it will say it succeeded:

I found the solution to this problem on another forum. I tried it and it
worked for me. I intalled iTunes and am now updating my iPod.

My problem was that VBSript was installed but not registered. Here is what I
did to resolve the problem.

1. Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right Click on Command
Prompt -> Run As Administrator.
2. Type “cd C:\Windows\System32″
3. Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Close the command prompt window and install iTunes. Good Luck.

anti-virus and personal firewall software, re-register vb script, and then
install itunes

how do i fix this?
