Installing Samsung USB Drive & Music Player YP-U2J

I have an eMac with OSX version 10.4.9 and have tried to install software from the CD which came with the Samsung music player YP-U2J. The CD appears on the screen though no instructions appear re installation. The system requirements on the package mention Windows Media Player 10 or higher(which is what is being installed), USB port(2.0) which I have, and Janus Compatible, OS Windows XP Only. I know, I should have bought an iPod...I bought the Samsung mainly due to the outstanding FM reception and of course the price. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hello! Forget about trying to install any XP software because it's not gonna work. When you plug in the player does it mount to the desktop as a white rectangle disk looking icon? If so you can probably just drag your music to it and be good to go. Tom

Thanks Tom...when I plug in the player...nothing happens. I don't know but would think there is something I can do...including buying somekind of software application to get this Samsung MP3 to work on my Mac. I hate to give up:)

Hello Again! With the device plugged in look in the Apple system profiler and see if it shows up and then open disk utility and look there and see if it shows up and maybe you can repair it's directory. And also make sure your using the usb port on the motherboard. Tom

Thanks again. I tried your last suggestion to no avail. After some more research I found out I would need to install WindowsXP on my eMac which to my understanding is not possible since my processor is not Intel. I give up.
