By far, the easiest is to create an ethernet LAN. Your newer computer will auto configure the ethernet port so you do not even need a crossover cable.

Even WalMart carries ethernet Cat5 cable so all you need next is instructions. I will find the Carlson article and post back.

Because your older computer does not have at least OS 9, you will have to initiate sharing on the older computer, and mount the newer computer's drive on the older computer. Macs running 7.5.3 and later can mount other Mac's drives/folders on its desktop via TCP/IP if you use the "Server IP Address" button in the AppleShare Chooser Extension. -
