Acid loops get messed up in Logic

I have a sample library: Ambient grooves by Bill Laswell, 24 bits Acid loops.
Many of these loops get strangely messed up when imported in Logic.
It doesn't make any diffrence if I use the loop browser or drag the loops directly in the arrangewindow.
Some loops play at the wrong pitch, some in a different tempo and some stereoloops have the left and right channel out of sync, making a single instrument sound like two instruments playing together but out of sync.
When I use the preview fucntion in the finder the loops play correctly and also in other applications there is no problem. Only in Logic the loops are completely unpredictable in their behaviour.

Where is the manual does it say that Acid Loops can be used directly in Logic?

You need to convert them the Apple Loops, then import/use them in Logic.

i have found to do this you need to drag the folder of acid files onto the loop browser. unless you do that logic treats the files as regular/non-acidized files.

If open logic, open the loop browser and then drag the files on top of the browser it will convert them for you.

I did just that, I converted the Acidloops to Appleloops and then the loops got messed up as mentioned in my first letter.
That's why said: it doesn't matter if I use the loopbrowser or import the loops directly.
The only way I figured out to use the loops was to convert them to plain AIFF files (in another application) and then I could use them as supposed.
Very cumbersome indeed.

I have a bunch of drum loops that are acidized .wav files that I drag and drop into Logic all the time and they work great. Are you sure your your song and the loops are the same sample rate?

It's really quite strange: some loops from this library work flawlessly, some have wrong speed, some wrong pitch etc.
The drumloops mostly seem to work fine, but especially melodic licks have problems.
