spanish characters in keynote

I need to prepare a presentation for my Spanish class and am having some trouble with Spanish characters. Does anyone know how to add Spanish characters to the text? Examples: accents over o's and upside down question marks/exclamation points. I would greatly appreciate any info/advice. Thanks!!!

You can type Spanish on the normal US layout: The deadkey for the acute accent is Option + e and for the tilde it is Option + n, with ¿ at Option + Shift + / and ¡ at Option + 1. é is Option + e, e. ñ is Option + n, n.

Another way is to make sure you have the Character Palette checked under System Preferences/International/Input Menu, then select Character Palette from the drop down (flag) menu.

Under Latin characters you can choose anything you want in terms of foreign characters, and hit Insert.

Voilà!
