Mighty Mouse Wired scroll wheel problem

Ok, so here is the next little surprise that my "super duper" better than a PC iMac has. My scroll wheel will not scroll up anymore. I went into Sys Prefs and the scroll option is set to Horizontal and Vertical scrolling...I restarted the Mac and still am having the same problem. Is my less than 1 yr only Mighty Mouse "biting the dust"?

I thought Macs just were supposed to work? Funny, everytime I see or read that I laugh...mine has had trouble working in all sorts of areas.

Sorry for the sarcasm but it kind of gets to you when you spend just as much time trouble shooting your Mac as you do your PC.

Thanks for any responses.

The Mighty Mouse scroll balls are notoriously sensitive to dirt and grime.

I would be certain to keep yours and others fingers clean before using it to avoid getting gunk into the internal workings. That being said, you might try blasting it with compressed air or clicking in the ball and rolling it at the same time. That has usually cleared up any issues that I have run across.
