controlling mixer faders with cursor keys

In Cubase, it's possible to select tracks in the track mixer using the left and right cursor keys, and nudge the selected track's fader up or down using the up or down cursor keys - it's really intuitive and easier than trying to accurately control with the mouse.... and I don't really want to bother with a dedicated hardware controller.

Anyone know if it's possible to set this up in Logic? I couldn't find this function in the key commands list so I couldn't assign keys... any ideas?

hi

not sure about key commands to do this using cursor keys, but i use my might mouse's scroll wheel to do this. perhaps not as accurate as you'd like - but i find it quite intuitive and quick. can't remember if you have to click on the fader before scrolling or not (i'm not at my logic machine) will check later.

Hope that helps - though your idea sounds more intuitive when not using a midi controller.
